Meet the Maker

Hi there- I’m Grace!
Having grown up around horses, I became fascinated by the work of our blacksmiths from an early age. Watching them heat the steel, carefully bend and shape, and hammer with such precision to craft sturdy, beautiful custom horseshoes... I have always seen it as an art, and one that held great importance in our lives. Combine that with a strong turquoise obsession, and  my small business was born.
I began metalsmithing in July 2020 during quarantine and it quickly turned into a new passion. While I still feel brand new to this incredible industry, and am working to develop my unique style, I truly enjoy creating something meaningful. My goal is to make pieces that last, just like the horseshoes I have collected over the years. As someone who works with my hands daily, I need my jewelry to be durable and tough, to withstand dirt and grit. My mission is for femininity and self-expression to not be limited to fancy date nights and weddings, but to have a place in the outdoors, as well. Wear it in, wear it out, wear it all the time.
My studio is based out of my home, a small horse farm in Ashland, Virginia where I also spend my days riding horses, managing the property, tending to my wild garden, and hanging with my husband and our 4 sweet pups.
When I'm not at the farm, I spend my extra time hiking and camping in the mountains or paddling down the nearby rivers. I draw major inspiration from elements, patterns, colors and experiences in nature, constantly in awe of the world around me. My intention is to create one of a kind pieces that capture that very energy and carry it from me to you.
Thank you for being here!
